The 6th screenshot contest concludes

The Runner Ups

We have shown all entries. However, individual prices require individual placings. For this, each picture got a score based on ranking in their respective round. Both participants got the score of said picture added to their individual score, giving way for an individual ranking. And here the runner ups in no order:

Xyhala

As a new entrant to the SDS screenshot business, Xyhala showed us that they could grow into the competition and perform really well. Delivering very (sometimes too) creative entries with a very big fun-factor all around is an amazing way to participate that we thoroughly enjoyed! We happily invite Xyhala back for the next competition as an now honorary member of SDS!

Ciara Ul’mir

Speaking of creativity and newcomers: Ciara blew our minds with her entries. Strong execution and technical finesse on all of them with very creative (not always great, but always creative) angles, made her a strong contender in this contest! Definitely a dark horse to pay attention to in the future!

Vily’a Maimhov (Rox)

Rox seemed to always be the supporting character but his attention to good glam-work and great poses made him a reliable partner to toss a creative idea at and get a good execution. Solid work and we are excited to see some single works with him in a main role!

Shadow Cross

An oldie but goodie: Shadow Cross! Great ideas and a very diverse number of entries ranging from “oh yeah i expected something like this” to “wait what? i never thought of this but its working really well!”. Being one of our most seasoned screenshot contest members he establishes himself as a strong benchmark that the top entries need to beat time after time!

Cid Fabool

A first-timer with a passion for strong, saturated colors! While there is some room for improving the details of gpose this will come naturally working more with the medium. All of Cid’s entrants have been entertaining to look at and were a pleasure to judge. Maybe if the jury would’ve gotten the first entry Cid might’ve been on the next page of this conclusion 😉 Keep at it!

Aqu’a

Certainly the most surprising entries in several ways came from Aqu’a. The genius cooperation with Jasar on making a Blitzball themed summer shot. Absolute baller that one. The shocking suspension emitting from the work with Ciara. The amazing storytelling in his third entry with Shadow was an enlightening experience! Aqu’a shows again and again that he is finalist’s material in execution, glamours and motive, but the strong competition this time thwarted his ambitions.

Speaking of strong competition… Let’s see on the next page who made it to the final six.
