As light and darkness have been struggling with each other not just in the latest images you sent in, but also in the real world. Nights are getting longer and darkness is clawing at our sanity again. To ward away the evil fey of Eorzea the next theme will be centered around All Hallows’ Eve!

A long title, telling a simple story of a haunted house. With great use of the lightning, where the spectre is just barely visible and good use of emotes, it made for a solid execution of an eerie picture. A good entry indeed, but unfortunately a bit too simple to make it a great entry.
The first entry for the final round. With humorous glam, it showed us a very basic approach to the prompt. Unfortunately with the picture being a bit out of focus and not much else except for the glamour, it felt a bit too simplistic for the jury. Thinking about it constructively we would have given the advise to shift the camera angle a bit more to the left and capture more of the victim. Or show the great ghost glam from the front.
But definitely 100% spooky!
This entry takes us into a “film noir” atmosphere, showing us an eerie and gloomy scene lighted up with just the very 1920s looking lanterns in the background. With a lot of black and red lightning and its dark filters, it just lets us barely see enough to make out what is happening. A very simple execution, yet giving the jury some nice creeps.
Going out of its way by being more on the lighthearted side, this entry had the jury chuckle in amusement. Doing a funny take on a classic fairy tale might have not fit the given prompt that well, but we still enjoyed it. Fitting costumes, the wild idea, a funny title. While the execution was very simple, making us laugh made this shot a very memorable third place.
Second place goes to this entry. With its interesting take on perspective and dynamic use of poses, it was delightful approach to the prompt. The jury really liked the idea and execution. However with a bit of a lack in contrast and lighting it fell slightly short of first place.
The first place of the final round belongs to this pair of nutsy participants. From the use of classic horror movie characters down to the choice of background (Kong still doesn’t know who the person on the right is supposed to be). The jury loved this shot a lot. Great costumes, a good use of ingame filters and fitting lightning made this a great finale to this prompt and to this contest.
