When did you start ffxiv, and why?

I started playing in April 2021, after I heard the siren’s call of a friend: Have you heard about the award winning game…? It is free you can always just quit. And just like that the game sank its teeth into my soul.

Tell us a memorable experience in ffxiv!

Around a week after I started playing the game, I tried my luck with a fate in LaNoscea. I struggled and started running around with the mob chasing me. A random player showed up and just started to heal me without taking part in the fate. Halfway through, I ran out of the Fate’s range, and it reset. After that, they said “don’t worry, stay put, I’ll heal you”. Ashamed, I did the fate all over again, standing still, enemy beating me up. While I was very embarrassed, this random act of kindness made me so happy and sticked with me as one of the first examples of the wholesome ffxiv community.

Also doing 300+ fates in 4 days with Jasar. 8/10 would not recommend.

What else do you play right now or in general?

Generally RPGs like Fable, The Elder Scrolls, The Witcher and of course Final Fantasy. Currently, it’s only ffxiv though.

What was your first Final Fantasy?

It must have been either FFVII or FFVIII.

And what is your favorite Final Fantasy Game?

It is hard to choose one. If I could only play one of the Final Fantasy games for the rest of my life (other than ffxiv), it would probably be Final Fantasy X. Although VII and VIII will forever have a special place in my heart.

What do you enjoy doing in ffxiv?

Obviously, I enjoy too much, as I am still not through with the main story after having played the game for 1.5 years. I often get distracted by trying myself at deep dungeons, levelling my crafters/gatherers, doing my daylies/weeklies, etc. Since I have joined the FC, I also simply like to do stuff with the members.

Is ffxiv your first mmo? If not, what was your first mmo?

It is. I have never ventured into the big mmo world before.

What are your RL activities that you enjoy?

I have always enjoyed being outside, whether it is going for a run, cycling, hiking or just going for a walk. Unfortunately, since the pandemic, I do not do the sportier activities as often as I used to. Away from that, I like to train with my horse and foal. And of course, I always like to do something with friends and enjoy a cosy evening with a book or netflix and a glass of wine.

What songs do you enjoy from ffxiv?

I love the music in Snowcloak and to bash Sephiroth to the beat of the second half of the fight.

Do you have pets?

We have a horse and currently a foal and some rabbits. I might add some pics somewhen later.
