When did you start ffxiv, and why?
At some point during Stormblood, about halfway maybe? I wanted to try it because I’ve always been a big fan of the other FF games, and having already played other MMOs a lot. It’s actually a small miracle I hadn’t started earlier.
Tell us a memorable experience in ffxiv!
The most memorable was definitely clearing my first Savage raid (E9S) for the first time with the FC static. My hands were shaking even five minutes after.
What else do you play right now or in general?
I’m a sucker for a good story, and awesome characters. RPGs make probably 90% of what I play. Other than that, Civ 5, Fall Guys, horror games, or anything else really depending on mood. Always interested to try something new or different. Desperately waiting for Baldur’s Gate 3 to fully release.
What was your first Final Fantasy?
FF8. I started playing it with a friend when we were 10. It pretty much taught me English along with school! It still has a special place in my heart.
And what is your favorite Final Fantasy Game?
If 14 doesn’t count, I’d say FF9. Amazing story, great characters, enchanting art and music, and the gameplay was pretty nice too.
What do you enjoy doing in ffxiv?
Going through new story, seeing new fights. Collecting, discovering and trying out new stuff. Leveling and trying out new jobs, but that’s finished for now, at least until Endwalker. Getting better at the game. Also doing anything with friends.
What are you missing in ffxiv? Classes, Housing Items…?
I was really hoping for the new healer to be Chemist. Oh well. More character customization options and quality of life updates to things like glamour…that system is cursed.
Is ffxiv your first mmo? If not, what was your first mmo?
I’ve played WoW since 2005 or whenever it was still brand new. Still occasionally go back to see how it’s going, but these days FFXIV takes most of my attention.
What are your RL activities that you enjoy?
D&D, reading, cooking, social drinking, evening walks while listening to music and podcasts.
